Taking the “Bla” out of “Blogs”!
Every second of every day thousands of people are searching the internet. Many are hoping to find the “right” information - the kind they so desperately desire - some want to know the "why" of an issue they are having with a family member, others want to know how to perform a magic trick to impress their friends and other just want to know what in the world is going on in the world in a language they can comprehend.
When it comes to blogs the "online buffet" is unbelievable!
Take into serious consideration the amount of blogs which are composed and posted in cyber space, those that are being launched into the matrix we call the internet this very moment as I am typing this article or the second your eyes are now scrolling across this sentence … many of the blogs are what I like to call “Bla-Blogs” one acronym for this could rightly be: “Better Left Alone-BLOGS.”
Less than 25 years ago there were still door to door sales people who would boldly go to your door and attempt to sell you a set of encyclopedias or a dictionary. And thousands like you and me invested in these books, of which, many are still in use or are collecting dust at this very moment. And one may ask "Why did we purchase these books?"
Maybe we wanted quick word answers for a scrabble game or we were thirsty for truth, or hungry for knowledge. The person knocking on our door offered to give us this information in the convenience of our home. It was cost effective and gave us insights into other parts of the world and filled our heads with diverse topics to fuel cravings for information.
Today, Let's say I want three particular pieces of information and I do a Google search for them: Own Property On The Moon!!, Amazing Singing Parrot… or 10 Minute Disposable Email - Ingenious. What happens is many sites / blogs come up with all sorts of information, some good, some not so good and some down right “Bla.” (Better Left Alone).
This is where you come in. We all have the resources available to us 24/7! We have information ‘overload’, but if we properly harness this super-highway that stretches from our desktop to around the world and maybe into "the unknown' to us, we can really make a significant impact on people’s time and money. One such way is to seek out Blogs which are not just filled with one topic - now please continue reading this. When I say one topic, I do believe and understand many Blogs are specialty Blogs and to really convey the “right” information one must commit themselves to the focus of the topic at hand and publish the information surrounding just the facts revolving around that one topic.
For the rest of us, if we were to find resources, like one I have recently come across, which is like Google within Google, it is packed, yet ergonomically set up so almost anyone with working knowledge of a computer can navigate through it’s pages and locate intriguing, amazing, witty, extremely informal data all from within one Blog! The Blog that has taken the Bla out of Blogging is “The Nightly Quill” (www.thenightlyquill.com)
The owner / creator of this fantastic Blog “The Nightly Quill” (www.thenightlyquill.com) says: “This is a project we have wanted to start for some time. We have always liked surfing the web to find new, interesting products and stories. It’s mind-boggling how much information is out there. But to find it takes time. (lots of it)
Most people’s lives are frantic, leaving little time for this exercise. That’s where The Nightly Quill comes in. We will scour the internet for all types of info which we feel our loyal readers will be interested in reading.
This type of interface (blog) provides a method by which our readers can quickly scan the “posts” and determine which they would like to read and which to pass on. This saves you precious time. Also, The Nightly Quill provides a repository where the information you are interested in will be preserved. Just return anytime, do a keyword search or category search and the post will be located. Not necessary to have hundreds of “favorites” on your computer any longer. This way you can also relay pertinent info to others by linking them to the info on this site.”
